Coding for Community is a free day camp that meets for four weeks during the summer and two Saturdays a month during the school year. The camp is for students in grades 6-9 who are residents of East St. Louis.

Students who take part in Coding for Community are working together to build a website all about the history and culture of the East St. Louis region. Participants receive free breakfast and lunch and transportation to and from the program.

Students learn more about their city while gaining valuable technological skills, including

  • Sound editing
  • Podcasting
  • Computer Programming
  • Blogging
  • and more!
