In this oral history interview, conducted by Karl Lofton and DaQuain White at the Clyde C. Jordan Senior Center on July 12, 2016, Lucille Harrin discusses how school was for her as a child; it was not so good. This was because she lived in the country and Lucielle had to walk to school every day and back home. She met a lot of challenges along the way which made her stronger. Education had an impact on her life, and so did food. Growing up in the south they had some nice foods, and it was mainly soul foods.
